In 1987, EDISON DE PAULA came to the North Shore of Oahu in search of the perfect wave, and never left. After working for over 10 years as a Lifeguard on the most dangerous beaches of Oahu, Edison finally decided to take his love of surfing and share it with the world. That was when, in 2002, Surf Hawaii - Surf School was established, always keeping the commitment of love and respect for Mother Nature and the people of Hawaii.
Surfing was the sport of the Hawaiian kings, and we want to cherish that tradition by sharing it with our students with all our hearts - that is what the spirit of Aloha is all about!
We are committed to bringing you lots of fun and adventure during your time in Hawaii. We offer a variety of surf lessons, surf packages, and also surf camps with lots of fun activities such as hiking, Yoga, mountain bike trails, guided surf tours and much more. Our school is located in the historic Haleiwa town, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The North Shore is famous for having some of the best and most amazing waves in the world - but don't be fooled by it's reputation, as there is always a spot breaking perfect little waves, ideal for beginner surfers.
